We absolutely loved kicking off our 2012 wedding season with Mollie & Chad!

What an absolutely loving, spontaneous & fun couple!  Chad & Mollie really made the most of our e-session on the gorgeous North Shore of Massachusetts.  Nate & Ofelia met up with these soon-to-be-lovebirds at The Hungry Fox in South Hamilton, MA.  Chad & Mollie had first been introduced to each other at The Hungry Fox while working throughout college.  They spents summers together and fell in love!  We were all thrilled to return back to the ‘Fox’ and create some e-session magic!  (special thanks to owner Caroline, who greeted us warmly with full-use of her establishment, and also scrumptuous cheese brioche!  YUM.)

We loved our shoot with Chad & Mollie at The Hungry Fox, and were equally thrilled when they suggested that we continue our shoot over at Endicott College (Chad’s alma mater) just a quick ride over to nearby Beverly, Massachusetts. Just like their college days, Chad & Mollie miraculously emerged from their vehicle in brand-new attire!  Stepping onto the grounds at Endicott, were were psyched to utilize some of the lush greenery and scenic buildings on campus.  Stunning.  Nestled in the midst of this gorgeous campus is the immaculate Tupper Manor, complete with a fountain greeting us as we pulled into the parking lot.

Inside & outside, Tupper Manor provides a stunning backdrop for any special event.  We absolutely fell in love with the fountain out front!

Changing attire once more, we all piled into Chad’s crossover and headed over to the Admissions Building, an absolutely incredibly beautiful building surrounded by ivy and straddled by a stone bridge extending to an impressive overview of the Atlantic Ocean.  We really appreciated the attention to the different clothing that Mollie & Chad selected for their session.  While multiple outfit changes are not absolutely necessary in every shoot, the variety and selection of Mollie & Chad’s images certainly helped to create a really fun and unique e-session!  (nice job, guys!)

We’re super excited for their November, 2012 wedding out in Chicopee, MA!

These two lovebirds are planning a May 2012 wedding in the Ocean State, and were super-eager to capture a fun off-season e-session with Nate & Ofelia.  We chose to photograph our winter e-session over in Tom’s hometown of East Greenwich, Rhode Island. The historic downtown section of East Greenwich is such a fun and intimate spot.  Right smack dab in the middle of downtown, sits the old Public Library on Peirce Street. We wanted to use some of the gorgeous stone buildings, with the columns and iron gates.

Could you believe we had a 60-degree December day?!  Wow! 

Here at Dana Pierce Photography, there are so many things to celebrate!  Just a year ago, we launched our brand new website (www.danapiercephotography.com) and began our wildy entertaining blog!  We love it!  We hope you’ve been following us, and enjoyed sharing in the fun we’ve had this season!

We had been looking forward to celebrating with Mary & Sergio for months!  We had gotten together in mid-May this past Spring to capture some romantic e-session images in downtown New Bedford.  We knew that Mary & Sergio would be an amazing couple to photograph on their wedding day.  This unique couple is full of love, laughter and an insatiable appetite for living life and inspiring those around them.  They certainly left their mark on us!  This couple’s wedding images are some of very favorite from this season!

We started over at Sergio’s house, where we met up with his family, the guys and Mary’s dad, too!  After snapping some fun images, we raced over to the Waypoint Event Center – the brand, spanking new wedding reception hall at the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in downtown New Bedford.  Stunning!  (this place is quickly going to be one of our favorites in SouthCoast!!)  Mary & her girls were absolutely gorgeous…wow! 

Racing out of the Waypoint, we noticed Mary’s transportation to the church – an immaculate 1961 vintage, mint-condition Rolls Royce awaited Mary, complete with chauffeur-extraordinaire Tom, from A Formal Limousine Company – the best in SouthCoast!

Rumbling down New Bedford’s Route 18, we pulled up at perhaps one of the most beautiful churches in the Whaling City – St. Anthony’s of Padua Roman Catholic Church on Acushnet Avenue.  Splendid with all its lights, St. Anthony’s can inspire just about anybody! 

Outside of St. Anthony’s, we captured some intimate moments with Mary & Sergio on the steps.  Despite the 40-degree weather and winds whipping up against Mary’s train & veil, she was so enthusiastic and flexible!  On your wedding day, it is so important to go with the flow, and be as open-minded as possible – you never know when you’ll find the ‘just right’ artistic moment!



Mary & Sergio jumped back into their ’61 Rolls Royce, warming up for just a few short minutes!  We rumbled down the cobblestone streets of historic New Bedford, parking on William Street across from Freestones.  With wedding party & families assembled, we enjoyed New Bedford’s Custom House, Massachusetts 54th Regiment Plaza as well as the various shops across from the Whaling Museum to create some wedding portrait fun!









This is one of our favorites!  We love how New Bedford’s world-famous fishing fleet finds its way into the wedding formals.  It really adds some fun and some texture to the way in which these photographs share the fun & romance of their day.

After a terrific 40 minute portrait session dowtown, we were all ready to party! 

 Just a stone’s throw away, was the reception site – New Bedford’s Waypoint Event Center, hosted by LaFrance Hospitality.  LaFrance has done a great job just about everywhere – Bittersweet Farm, White’s, Rachel’s Lakeside, etc.  We were also really psyched to see DJ Gene Daniels & Lana, too!  This was an awesomem party!  The food was spectacular, the setting was intimate, and the bride & groom danced the evening away!  We can’t wait to photograph again at the Waypoint!

We loved being part of your special day, Mary & Sergio!

When Rebecca & Jessie came to us asking us to be their wedding photographers – we were thrilled!  Fall is our favorite season, and we have really enjoyed working over at Hillside Country Club in Rehoboth, Massachusetts every opportunity we’ve gotten!  (Rudy, Steve & Jeannette do a terrific job!)

The only challenge when photographing late-Autumn weddings is the amount of available light you’ll have to take wedding formals.  After Daylight Savings, early November weddings have light until only about 5:15/5:30pm.  Rebecca & Jessie had selected a 5:00pm ceremony time, but we were up to the challenge!

Rebecca & Jessie’s day was one of the most unique and fun we’ve had this season!  We met up with Rebecca & Jessie before the ceremony, separately (one of the advantages to having two photographers!) and had some pre-ceremony fun!  We then assembled in the ballroom for 5:00pm to an intimate ceremony surrounded by family, friends about 125 guests. 

After the ceremony, we were delighted to find that the Hillside CC crew had set up golf carts for us, and the bride & groom!  We throttled across the greens to the ‘burning bush’ on the fifth hole!    After creating some romantic moments together, we raced back to the ballroom where Rebecca & Jessie stormed into their reception, and partied all night long!  Needless to say, this may have been THE party of the season!   We danced all night from dinner to past midnight!
